The deck
Pro-series boards are lighter, with independent foot rotation you can lock for beginners. Nozzle diameter and angle have to match your PWC power and your weight. A pretty board with the wrong jets will not hover you cleanly.

What PWC you need

The hose
Long enough for the water you have, tough enough for shows. Armor-class hose survives rental abuse. Lighter pro hose feels better and dies sooner. We pick from how you will actually fly — weekends vs. hotel contracts.

The ski
Four-stroke, roughly 130 HP and up. That is the floor for flyboarding. Adapter kits are ski-specific: Yamaha, Sea-Doo, Kawasaki, Honda. Send photos of the pump housing before you order anything. A 90 HP ski is a toy, not a flyboard engine.

The human
Binding size, novice lock pin, and whether you want to perform or just fly. After one session in Phuket we know more than any product page. That is the point of learning here before you spend.
Typical money, said plainly.
A complete name-brand kit — deck, bindings, hose, U-pipe, PWC adapter — usually sits in the mid four-figures USD, not counting the jet ski. Deck-only upgrades cost less. No-name complete sets look cheap until the swivel eats itself.
